Williams Saddle Creek Ranch is more than just a hunting destination — it’s the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. After more than 40 years of hard work in the painting industry, Duke Williams, the founder of D&W Painting, retired in 2022 and set out to turn a vision into reality.
When Duke purchased the ranch near Lohn, Texas, it was a blank canvas. Through determination and hands-on effort, he cleared the land, planted food plots, built stock tanks, and installed a high fence — all with one goal in mind: to create a place where people could enjoy the land, the wildlife, and each other’s company.
Since 2021, Duke and his wife Jan have lived on the ranch full-time, pouring their hearts into every detail of its development. He brought in top-tier genetics for both whitetail and exotic species and designed comfortable, inviting lodging to ensure every guest feels right at home.
Today, Williams Saddle Creek Ranch stands as a tribute to Duke’s passion, perseverance, and love for the outdoors — a place where hospitality meets heritage, and every visit feels like coming home.
The Saddle Creek experience is about more than the hunt — it’s about the feeling you get the moment you pull through the gate. Tucked away in the heart of West Texas, the ranch offers a quiet, comfortable escape where guests are treated like family. From the warm welcome to the home-cooked meals that everyone raves about, every detail is designed to make you feel at home.
What truly sets Saddle Creek Ranch apart is the purpose behind it. For Duke and Luke Williams, this isn’t just a place to hunt — it’s a place to connect. Built by Duke after retiring from over 40 years in the painting industry, the ranch is now a shared passion between father and son. They use it as a space to deepen relationships with clients and customers in a way that can’t happen in an office or jobsite. Around the dinner table, by the fire pit, or in the field — this is where great conversations happen, stories are told, and friendships are strengthened.
At Williams Saddle Creek Ranch, comfort is part of the experience. Guests enjoy spacious accommodations with plenty of room to relax after a day in the field. From home-cooked meals prepared by our ranch cook (which guests always say are unforgettable) to evenings around the fire pit, every detail is designed to make your stay memorable.
Inside the lodge, you’ll find a pool table, shuffleboard, a full bar, and an 85-inch screen perfect for catching the game. Whether you're swapping stories, sharing a meal, or just kicking back — there's no better place to unwind.
At Williams Saddle Creek Ranch, the experience goes beyond the hunt. It’s about great food, good company, and meaningful time spent together. From relaxing around the fire to sharing laughs in the lodge, every visit is designed to feel like home — and every memory, one worth keeping.
